Yesterday, I graduated from high school. So now I am officially done, which seems kind of weird, like it hasn't sunk in yet that I'll never be going back and that it is officiallu summer. It is starting to feel like summer, as the temperatures are going up. It's not too hot yet though, with highs in the 80s, which is definitely a good thing. And let me just say, how depressing it is that the price of gas is so high? I feel like I can't drive anywhere and when I do, I never drive by the local gas station if I can help it, because it is just too darn depressing. *sigh* Oh well. I guess I'll just have to do more walking.

I'm done with school! Yesterday was my last day and I am so excited. Today we had to go back to school, though, because we had to pick up our graduation tickets, cap and gown and go to the Goodbye Assembly. This is an assembly for the whole school, but geared towards seniors. Certain seniors who previously auditioned perform, playing instruments, singing, etc. It was actually pretty good. Last year's assembly sucked, because there was no real talent, but this year it was really good. One girl sang a song, and got a standing ovation because she was AMAZING. Seriously, she was so good. Anyways, next Wednesday's gradutation and then that will be it. I'm a little sad, but mostly excited. I especially can't wait for summer.

David Cook wins!!

I am so ecstatically happy yet completely shocked that David Cook won American Idol. I wanted him to win so badly and yet after watching Tuesday's show I thought for sure Archuleta would win. Every season after Tuesday' show, I always know who is going to win because one contestant always clearly does better than the other won. And I am always right in my prediction of who will win. This season, I am very happy to say that I was wrong. Simon liked Archie better, and the audience seemed to too. When I was watching the finale last night, the whole time I kept saying 'man, David Archuleta's going to win for sure.' and when Ryan said, 'the winner of American Idol season 7 is...David...Cook', I literally shrieked because I was so shocked and yet thrilled at the same time. Ooh, I am so excited if you can't already tell. Cook has way more personality than Archuleta and is an amatuer, not winning Star Search or already landing a record deal. The rocked definitely deserved to win and I am so glad he did.
In other news, today has been very strange weather-wise. It was in the sixties, then got a little warm and sunny around lunchtime. It was pretty nice, then around 3ish it was super dark and cloudy and it started to pour. and hail. and thunder. and lightning. It was so strange. Now, at 6:00 it isn't raining anymore, but it is still cloudy and cold. Hopefully it's clear for the weekend. Anways, gotta go!

So I haven't written in a long time and I've decided I'd motivate myself to start up again.
Anyways, I am SO tired. I've been staying up later the last couple nights to watch American Idol and Dancing with the Stars and I am starting to feel the consequences of doing so. And, tonight, my sister is picking up my parents from the airport after 9:00 and she really wants me to go with her. I told her I wouldn't because that would require me to stay up way past my bedtime and get like 5 or 6 hours of sleep. But maybe I'll have time to take a nap tonight before then, so then I might change my mind and go with her. We'll see.
Today in my English class we finished watchign The Queen with Helen Mirren, which was pretty darn good, and let me just say, she deserved that Oscar.
So, the American Idol finale is next week already, OMG! It's going to be the battle of the Davids for sure, and it better be David Cook that wins. Archuleta, I like you, you're amazing but I think Cook deserves to win more and you don't have much personality.
I really like Marissa, but I have to say, it was her time to go on Dancing with the Stars. I think Kristi will win, but I hope it's between her and Jason, cause Jason's my fav.
Oh man, I'm about to fall asleep, so I gotta go!

So on Sunday I went to see Wicked with my sister and my three cousins. It was SO goos. Way better than the first time, because this time I actually knew the story and all they songs by heart so I payed better attention. Crazy things happened that day, starting with the fact that after the show we got to meet that actors, have our pictures taken with them and even get their autographs! My sister and I were freaking out. Seriously, we were. Apparently, after the show, outside the Pantages Theater the actors come out but no one knows about it so there were only about thirty people there. The second crazy thing that happend was after the show when we drove to Hollywood and Highland to see Grauman's Chinese Theater. I've been there several times before, and there are always these cooky people who wear costumes and try to finagle money out of people by taking their pictures with them. Anyways, there was this one small guy dressed up as Chuckie, with the knife and everything. As we tried to avoid him, he followed us into Grauman's Chinese with the knife in our faces. It was so freaky and creepy. I wanted to shoot him. After that, we gotlost in the parking structure, trying to get out of that darn place which was so complicated to get out of. After we did, we went to Universal City Walk to eat dinner; we chose the Hard Rock Cafe, which was very good. By this time it's about 7:00, and we're ready to go home. My two cousins picked my sister and I up at our house, so we all drove home together. After driving for about a half hour, we realize that we're not going the right way, at which point we get off the freeway to call my dad and ask him where we should go. We then realize that we were on the 10 N, and we should have been on the 10 S. So basically, we went almost forty-five minutes out of our way. Then, when we were safely on our way home, all of a sudden, traffic slows way down and we see a police car up ahead with his lights on weaving in and out of the lanes. There didn't appear to be someone he was chasing, just being a dumb cop. My cousin who was driving was so angry at this point, she was ready to throw something at him. Finally, he gets off, turning his lights off and we were again on our way. So that was my day, crazy, scary at times, yet fun at the same time.

In other news, tomorrow I'm leaving in the morning for Hume Lake with my church for the weekend. I am so excited an can't wait. Two great weekends in a row. I hope everyone else has some great weekends too.

I haven't written in forever becuase I have been so busy with school, and basically life, but I am going to try and write on a consistent basis now. So, I have gone through so many changes this school year. Getting a job as the receptionist at my church is a very good job for me, which I got in November. It is so nice to have my own checking account with my own money in it and not have to depend as much on my parents anymore. Oh, the freedoms of growing up :) I also got my driver's license in November, the day I got my job actually. Funny how things work out sometimes.
My two AP classes, statistics and English have kept me very busy and given me more homework than I've ever had in my life.
Okay, has anybody been watching Project Runway? It is so addicting, I can't get enough. We just got digital cable and DVR a couple months ago, so now I can tape all the episodes! This is my second season watching it and I just LOVE it. Also, American Idol premieres in four days...ahh! This is my all-time favorite show in the world. Sunday, I'm going to see Wicked again with my sister and three of my cousins, which is super exciting. I've been listening to the soudtrack over and over to get into the mood. I'm bummed, though, because I just went on the website yesterday and Eden Espinosa isn't playing Elphaba anymore. Bummer, but Megan Hilty ist still Glinda, and I know I'll have a good time. I wonder how much longer it's going to be playing at the Pantages.? This weekend is going to be so much fun. Hope everyone elses's is fun too. Have a great one.

I haven't written in a week because school's been pretty busy. But OMG! In this past week it has been sooooo hot. We got a major heat wave- temperatures above 100 every day and not cooling off at night. Yesterday my dad's family came over for Labor Day which was fun. But we figured out that our air conditioning doesn't work after running it all day and realizing the house was still super hot. And with 29 people it feels even hotter. No other news, school's going okay. I get up at 5:20 but get home by 12:30 which is super nice. I hope the temperatures drop by the time I get a job. Nothing exciting going on right now except that I am addicted to Facebook. I just got one and am so addicted. Anyway, gotta go

P.S. I'm so thrilled that Sarah Dessen had her baby.

Today is officially my last free day before school starts, which is tomorrow. I can't believe it creeped up on me this fast! Today I've just been chillin out at home, trying to make this day go by slowly... I started reading Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I'm already on page 110- it is so good! Very similar writing style to Sarah Dessen and good plot-mysterious, page-turning- so of course I love it and that's the reason why it is so popular. Right now I'm listening to the High School Musical soundtrack which I bought at Target on Saturday along with the Hairspray soundtrack, which is so good! Anyway, that's all for now. Hope everyone is having a good day and starts school later than when I do. Bye!

I have only three more full days left before school starts. =( That is sooooo depressing. I'm trying to make these last few days go by ver slowly, if that's even possible. One good thing is that it has cooled off a little bit here in Southern California; hopefully that will continue so we won't have to be at school when it's blazing hot like it has been the last couple weeks. I'm currently looking for a job and am turning in two more applications today. I hope I get hired very soon so I can get my driver's license. My parents are making me pay for my car insurance and half of a car, so the sooner I get a job, the sooner I can start saving. I'm not doing much today. My mom's taking me out to lunch and then go shopping for new shoes and of course I'll be reading a lot, which is what I should be doing now instead of sitting at my computer writing this. I guess I better get back to my book. bye!

So I just found out at 11:00 after watching the price is right that I have a dentist appointment today at 3:15. What a drag! But my mom said she'll take me shopping before to get some new school clothes. I can't believe school starts in 8 days!!

My mom and I are big fans of the show Little People, Big World on TLC, which tracks the lives of a family with two parents who have dwarfism and their four kids, one of whom is a dwarf also. And as I was looking in TV Guide it said that the dad, Matt Roloff got a DUI on June 19th. What is this world coming to??

On a happier note, I watched HSM2 on Saturday night and half of it last night. It is so good. I love the music and am going to buy the soundtrack at Target. And I just found out Zac Efron will star in a remake of Footloose. He is so talented (not a super great singer, though) and is definitely the actor everyone wants in their musicals. By the way, did anyone ever watch the show Summerland with Lori Loughlin and Jesse McCartney? I did and remember when Zac was on it but he was so young back then! Bye!

Back From Hawaii

So we got back from Hawaii last night =( We had such a great time, though swimming at a different beach every day, taking a boat trip to Lanai and taking surfing lessons. And the second I stepped through the door of our house, reality sank in. We had 14 messages on our answering machine and a huge pile of mail. I have a dentist appointment on the 20th, have to start looking for a job and SCHOOL STARTS IN 10 DAYS!! That is so insane. And I'm only on, like, page 45 of the 300+ page book I have to read before school starts. *sigh*

Anyways, we're watching my cousin's two dogs, George and Sophie for them because they are in Hawaii right now. They are the cutest dogs in the world. Everybody who meets them wants to take the dogs home. No kidding. And last night I missed the premiere of High School Musical 2 which I have been waiting forever to see. But I'm going to watch it tonight in 36 minutes. I am a huge Disney Channel and Zac Efron fan. I loved him in Hairspray. Well, I better go get my mind off of school and how much life sucks. Bye!

So, I haven't written in a while, I know... but that's because I've been preoccupied with reading Jane Eyre for my English class next year. My goal is to finish it before Friday, so I read like crazy today, over 100 pages and have to read 97 more tomorrow to finish it. I also have to read another book about the Bible which I thought wouldn't take me that long, but in just looking at it, I realized it's 395 pages. Great... Oh, and by the way, I'm leaving for Hawaii Friday morning for two weeks. Our flight is at 7:45 in the morning, which means we have to leave at 4:30 AM!!!! Yikes! Oh my goodness, I am going to be a zombie in the airport. At least our flight is only 5 hours long, since I live in California.

Something that worries me, although not too much, is the fact that my Aunt flew to Hawaii in April on the same airline and had an absolute horror story to tell. Let's just say they were supposed to arrive at 9ish in the morning and didn't arrive until about 9 at night. Yeah, and add 2 plane breakdowns and a strip search in the airport. But the good news was they got vouchers to fly again for free! Like they're ever gonna do that again, I mean, seriously.
Anyways, I should go to bed now. See ya!

MY Birthday!!

So today I officially turned 17. (Well, technically I did at 2:50 in the morning, but whatever) So far, today has been pretty uneventful. I babysat from 10 to 2, but my sister brought me my fav strawberry and banana ColdStone smoothie, which was really sweet. Then I came home and played Wii with my mom, but my brother and his friend are over so I had to surrender it to them. =( Oh, and my mom bought me this really cute hula girl balloon from Vons because we're going to Hawaii and August third. And tonight I'll open my gifts with my family and eat my birthday cake, but not my birthday dinner because I still can't hardly eat anything since I got my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. It sucks to be a teenager. Well life pretty much sucks in general, but you gotta deal with it, right? That is definitely something I should be reminding myself more often. Well, not much else, High School Musical 2 comes out August 17th which I am totally excited about. Even if it's pathetic that I care about that, oh well, everyone is allowed to be pathetic once in a while, right? I should go read Jane Eyre instead of surfing the internet for a while like I'll be doind after this. I guess I'll try to convince myself otherwise. Bye!

Well, I haven't written in three weeks! OMG
I went on vacation and just came back on Saturday and have been busy ever since then. That Saturday was such a crazy day because right after we came home we bought a Wii and then my neighbor was in a High School Musical play at our local college so my sister and I wound up going to that at eight. And then on Monday I got my wisdom teeth out. I've been sore ever since but not as bad as I thought. I can only eat soft foods which totally sucks, though. And I've been playing Wii with my brother pretty much nonstop. It is so addicting! I am now pro at tennis.

My birthday's tomorrow and unfortunately I have to babysit. Oh well. I wanna go see Hairspray with my mom and sister tomorrow, so I hope that happens. I have to read Jane Eyre for my English class next year plus another book which I am completely putting off. I should probably go read that now instead of writing this.

P.S. I also have to put frozen peas on my cheeks to keep me from looking like a chipmunk.

Happy Fourth of July everyone! It's independence day, which reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Martina McBride called "Independence Day". Well, as of last night I didn't have any plans for today, but when I woke up this morning my dad informed me that we're going over to my uncle's house in Pasadena for a block party on their street at 4:30. That should be fun, I guess. I hope it's not too hot over there like it is in my small town of Glendora, California. Gosh, it has gotten so hot and I was at my church last night where they have no air conditioning and it was SO HOT!! I hope this heat wave is not a trend for the rest of the summer. Good thing I have a pool, though. Well, not much else, it's almost 11:00. I should probably get dressed as I am still in my pajamas. Later!

So I just got back from seeing Evan Almighty with Steve Carrell. It was pretty good. Pretty funny at parts but it only lasted about 1 hour and 25 minutes. My dad had four free movie tickets so he took us ( my mom, brother, sister and I). I wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean because I still haven't seen it yet, but no, my dad got to choose the movie. Oh well. Maybe I'll go see it with my friend Sara before it goes out of the theaters. After the movie was over my mom had a craving for McDonalds soft serve ice cream and there was a McDonalds right around the corner from the theater, but when we went inside, they said they ran out of ice cream! How often does that happen? So we went to another one and got our ice cream cones. I was reluctant to have ice cream because I have had so much ice cream and sweets lately, but how could I resist? As a result, I'm gonna have to stay off of the junk and eat more fruits and veggies. (I'll need plenty of luck with that) I'm also gonna go running tomorrow so I won't feel as guilty. I'm not doing anything tomorrow, I should probably get started on my reading assignment for my senior AP English class. Well, gotta go brush my teeth and go to bed to get ready for my morning run. =-)

TGIF

So, today was the last day of VBS. =( Anyways, so tonight at my church we have the closing program where the kids get to perform for their parents. Tomorrow I'm going to the mall with my friends. That should be fun. I finally get to spend all the babysiting money I've made instead of saving it up for a car. The latter would be much wiser, but too bad I'm not always that wise. So, it's getting really hot here. Ever since school got out the temperature has risen, but even more so this week. I like to go running in the evening, but I went the other night and it was still 80 degrees at, like, 7:30. I really hope this doesn't keep happening, as I don't want to restort to getting up at 7 am to run. I love my sleep.
I have to read two books this summer for my senior AP English class. One of them is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, and the other is some book about the Bible as a piece of literature. The former is so thick! Ugh, I have to go to the book store soon to get it, which I am seriously reluctant to do . I'll probably get them tomorrow at the mall. Well, not much else to say, I'll probably spend the rest of the day surfing the web, watching TV, maybe read a bit, might take a dip in the pool. That's all for now! Thank goodness it's Friday!

So right now I'm watching Oprah, it's about African child slaves. I already seen this one before...but still very sad. So we're having VBS at my church and I'm helping out this week. I work with the kindergartners. Very fun but tiring at times too. I still haven't seen Pirates 3. OMG I soooooo want to see it and I don't want to wait until it comes out on DVD. I want to see it in theaters. ( I'm working on my selfishness) So my mom, sister and I just discovered that the channel 6 plays the Brady Bunch at 8:30 each night and the Patridge Family at 9:00. So now we watch it a lot lately. Except last night we watched America's Got Talent from 9 to 10. That show has gotten so ridiculous. They put through ridiculous acts (i.e., the dancing Shakira and disco grandma) Also, Sharon Osbourne completely annoys me. She never buzzes anyone and thinks that almost every person is talented. Even when they're not. Well, not much else going on. I'm babysitting this week too, might go to the mall with my friends on Sat. My life's not super exciting!

first entry

Well, this is my first entry. Ever. I hope someone actually reads this. =) Anyways, so I'm reading all of the The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. (I've already read the first three before.) I'm on the third one and have rad the other two in, like, 2 days each. I'm doing this so I can read the fourth one which I haven't read yet. Well, I'm not doing anything tomorrow. I get to sleep in. (yay) and maybe I'll take a dip in the pool. Oh yeah, and read of course. Did I mention I like to read? Because I love it. Especially Ann Brashares and Sarah Dessen. I love Sarah Dessen. Especially The Truth About Forever. I also love Someone Like You except for the sexual content. (I know, I'm not a parent) Well, that's all for now, I guess.
